1. Surah Fatiha

 Surah Al-Fatiha is the first chapter of the Quran. It has seven verses and is like a special prayer. It asks for God's guidance, mercy, and help. This chapter is very important in Islamic prayer.

In Arabic, it's called Al-Fatiha, which means "The Opening" or "The Opener." Some people call it "The Preface" or "Introduction." This chapter is not named by God but by people.

People think of it as the opener of the Quran, and it's the first thing Muslims recite in their prayers. It's like a key that opens many aspects of daily Islamic life, and some believe it can help open a person's heart to faith in God.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے شروع جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim

 

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds.

سب طرح کی تعریف خدا ہی کو (سزاوار) ہے جو تمام مخلوقات کا پروردگار ہے

‘Al-Hamdu lillahi Rabbil-‘Aalamin

 

الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا

‘Ar-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

 

مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ

Master of the Day of Judgment.

 انصاف کے دن کا حاکم

Maaliki Yawmid-Diin

 

إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ

It is You we worship, and upon You we call for help.

(اے پروردگار) ہم تیری ہی عبادت کرتے ہیں اور تجھ ہی سے مدد مانگتے ہیں

‘Iyyaaka na’-budu wa ‘iyyaaka nasta-‘iin

 

اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

Guide us to the straight path.

ہم کو سیدھے رستے چلا

‘Ihdinas-Siraatal-Mustaqiim

صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ

The path of those You have blessed, not of those against whom there is anger, nor of those who are misguided.

ان لوگوں کے رستے جن پر تو اپنا فضل وکرم کرتا رہا نہ ان کے جن پر غصے ہوتا رہا اور نہ گمراہوں کے

Siraatal-laziina ‘an-‘amta ‘alay him-Gayril-magzuubi ‘alay him wa laz-zaaalliin
